185 players started Day 6 but after a full ten hours of play the field had been whittled down to just 64. Darvin Moon is the chip leader with a stack of almost 10 million chips but the presence of Phil Ivey and Antonio Esfandiari is looming large.

Ivey, who has already won two bracelets this year, is currently sitting in 3rd place with 6,345,000 in chips. Not far behind is fellow pro Antonio Esfandiari who is sitting comfortably in 6th place with 5,610,000.

“Determination and will. I have both and I’m going to get there,” said Esfandiari of what it’s going to take for him to make an even deeper run.

Other big name pros still in with a chance of going all the way are Jeff Shulman, Joe Schneider and 2008 November Nine finalist Dennis Phillips.

Long time chip leader Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier and fellow Frenchman Frenchman David Benyamine will have time to celebrate Bastille Day today after busting out in the morning session. Former World Champions Peter Eastgate and Joe Hachem also bowed out. Jeff Duvall in 12th place heads the British challenge.
