Jeff Lisandro Makes It Three Stud Bracelets

Jeff Lisandro Makes It Three Stud Bracelets
Thursday, 25 June 2009

Jeff Lisandro has, without a doubt, made the greatest accomplishment of any Stud player in the history of poker. One bracelet in Stud Hi; one bracelet in Stud 8 and one bracelet in Razz makes him the first player since Phil Ivey in 2002 to win three bracelets in one year.

Lisandro eliminated four of his seven opponents and took most of Kenna James’ chips as he arrived at the seven-handed final table of Event #44, $2,500 Razz, with a 2-1 chip lead over his nearest opponent.

Heads-up against Michael Craig, author of “The Professor, the Banker and the Suicide King”, Lisandro held a T9 low to take the pot from Craig who paired an ace and could only muster a KJ low. Lisandro wins $188,370 and the unofficial title of the world’s best Stud player.
