George Peisert Wins Event #52, $3k NLHE Triple Chance

A stacked field including three-time 2009 bracelet-winner Jeff Lisandro, James Van Alstyne, Kathy Liebert, Michael Mizrachi, Sandra Naujoks and John Juanda all competed for the title in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em Triple Chance event.
In this event each player could re-buy twice on top of their original buy-in; hence, triple chance. Peisert came to the final table as sixth in chips with 677k but kept his head down, only rearing for big pots that he ended up on the right side of.
His eventual heads-up opponent Jason DeWitt mucked in a big pot to move Peisert to over 2m chips. Next he won another big pot from Michael Katz to move to over 3m. Once there, he was set.
By the time heads-up came around he held such a huge chip lead that DeWitt would have needed miracles to come back. In a few hands, it was over – Peisert’s 99 held against K4o in order to ship him the $506k first-place prize.
