Carsten Joh wins Event #51 $1,500 No Limit Hold’em

Another massive field sat down for the latest $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Event at this year’s WSOP. In the end it was Germany’s Carsten Joh who outlasted the 2,781 runners to claim the title.

After 13 hours of final table action the German finally defeated Canada’s Andrew Chen to claim his first WSOP bracelet and with it a first prize of $664,426.


The German sealed the win calling Chen’s 10d9d all in push with a pair of sixes. The board gave Chen no help and a six on the river confirmed Joh’s first World Series success.
