Bubble Bursts at WSOP Main Event - 407 Players Left.

Monday, 13 July 2009

After an action-packed Day 3, Day 4 promised even more as it was certain that 152 of the 800 remaining players would hit the rail and allow 648 poker enthusiasts and professionals to make the money in the WSOP Main Event.

Bubble boy for 2009 was Kia Hamadani, who held on until the last - attempting to fold into the money, he was blinded down to his last $500 ante before being eliminated one place short of the money.

Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier's chip lead has been taken from him by another European poker pro in the shape of Ludovic Lacay. ElkY, however, is still going strong alongside a veritable host of other big names including Dan Harrington and Kenny Tran.

However, some notable faces left the tournament today - dual-bracelet winner Greg Mueller, Hevad Khan, Isaac Baron, Kristy Gazes, Chris Ferguson, Paul Wasicka, Alexander Kostritsyn, Justin Bonomo and of course Phil Hellmuth who was the biggest casualty late in the day.
