Ten British players were still in the running for the $8,546,435 Main Event first prize at the start of play yesterday but the dream continues for only three of them.

Jeff Duvall heads the list in 12th place with a stack of almost 4 million chips. Adam York had an excellent day, boosting his stack from 572,000 to just over 3.5m. It was a tough day for James Akenhead though. The Hit Squad member slid down the leader board but is still in there fighting with a stack of 1.65m.

The other British players to bust out were Jamie Brown in 89th $57,991, Sarne Lightman 112th for $40,288, Dwayne Stacey 113th for $40,288, , Karl Mahrenholz 114th for $40,288, Ian Woodley 144th for $40,288, Adam Latimer 163rd for $36,626 and Michael Greco 170th for $36,626.
