2008 WSOP Final Table Up For Auction

2008 WSOP Final Table Up For Auction

Wednesday, 12 November 2008

The people behind this year's WSOP have teamed up with XP Events to auction the final table which saw Peter Eastgate become the youngest ever Main Event Champion.

The table is the highlight in a series of auctions that will see decks of cards, dealer buttons, felts, signage and more go under the hammer. The auctions began last night on WSOPshop.com and will run until November 24th - good to see they didn't delay this one by three months, then.

WSOP Director of Marketing Ty Stewart said, "This auction is the ultimate bragging rights for any home game player, to own a piece of the game's history. This is the first time that the public has had the opportunity to bid on authentic items from the World Series of Poker Main Event, and the centrepiece of the auction will be the Final Table itself. We have very passionate fans and we expect this auction to generate a lot of interest."

Of course, if that's a little out of your budget, you could help the chap who's selling his copy of October 2008 Bluff Europe magazine. I hope he's not using the proceeds because he went busto on Full Tilt...
