20 Twenty weekend to become a regular feature at Dusk Till Dawn

Thursday, 29 October 2009

Last weekend’s 20Twenty tournaments proved so successful that they are set to become a regular fixture on the Dusk Till Dawn calendar. The back-to-back £100 freezeouts on Saturday and Sunday both attracted sell out crowds, enticing many players to the club for the first time.

Cardroom manager Simon Trumper said, "Players had travelled from a radius of 100 miles proving the demand for affordable deepstack poker was higher than we anticipated and with an average first prize equivalent to 88 x the buy in it looks like the 20twenty will continue to sell out. Nearly 1100 players visited Dusk Till Dawn this weekend and so we are delighted to announce that the 20twenty will be taking place the third weekend of each month in the 2010 calendar."

The next event is pencilled in for the weekend of 21st/22nd November. Players can register at the club or up to two weeks in advance on the Dusk Till Dawn website.

Jim Moult won Saturday’s debut event for a cash of £9,000 with Fraiser Bain taking the honours on Sunday with a cash of £8,661.
