180 job losses at Full Tilt subsidiary

Monday, 24 October 2011

Amongst the missing millions, lawsuits and high profiles names embroiled in the Full Tilt saga one thing that has been largely overlooked has been the fate of the staff working for the company.

There was bad news for 180 of them yesterday as Pocket Kings, a Full Tilt subsidiary in Dublin that provides technology, customer support and software, announced a host of redundancies. Over one third of Pocket Kings' staff have now lost their jobs.

According to The Irish Times, staff had “been offered statutory redundancy” and with the company blaming "restructuring as a result of the loss of US and European revenues for the lay-offs”.

Full Tilt was last week named in a lawsuit in California with complainants Larry Kennedy and Greg Omotoy seeking $900m in compensation.
