18 left at WPT Copenhagen – Barshak leads

Friday, 16 November 2012

The 45 players who started Day 3 of WPT Copenhagen were whittled down to just 18 with Stanislav Barshak the man to beat heading into the penultimate day.

The American closed with a stack of 830,000, over 100,000 ahead of closest challengers Jan Djerberg and Frei Dilling Kjaer who will return with 719,000 and 691,000 respectively. Also riding high are Jens Kerper 628,000, Philip Jacobsen 501,000 and Jimmy Jonsson 491,000.

Steve O'Dwyer's Danish love affair continues. The American made the final table at EPT Copenhagen and won the WPT Denmark National event earlier this year and has made the money this week. O'Dwyer will need to run well to match his WPT National achievement, returning as he does with the second shortest stack of 110,000.

The action resumes tomorrow lunchtime with blinds at 3,000/6,000 with an ante of 1,000. The average stack is 381,666.
