The World Poker Tour moved a step closer to crowning its latest winner yesterday after the remaining field of 32 runners at WPT Caribbean was whittled down to 11.

The man leading the charge to the $145,000 first prize in St Maarten is Severin Schleser. The Austrian was the only player to crack the million chip mark and will return later today with a stack of 1,151,000.

American pro Tony Dunst sits in second on 814,000 followed by Holland's Robert Bakker (722,000) and Canada's Jean-Nicolas Fortin (720,000). There's a fair chance that there'll be a repeat WPT winner with three of the remaining players having previously tasted World Poker Tour glory.

Last year's WPT Mazagan winner Giacomo Fundaro returns in fifth on 547,000 followed by 2011 WPT Borgata champion Bobby Oboodi (486,000) and former WPT Cyprus winner Marvin Rettenmaier (394,000).

The first female winner on the World Poker Tour remains a possibility too with Ebony Kenneyreturning in eighth on 320,000.

The action resumes at 6pm UK where the field will play down to a final table of six.
