1.5m up for grabs in Belgium Open Poker Championship

The sixth annual Belgium Open Poker Championship takes place at the Casino de Namur, from 21st to 29th November. The highlight of the nine-day festival is the €1,500+200 Main Event where an estimated prize pool of €1.5m is on offer.

There will also be a variety of side events including a heads up team event, plus a selection of hold’em tournaments including a ladies competition and a bounty event. Buy ins range from €100+10 up to €1,000+100.


Sijbrand Maal won last year’s Main Event. The Dutch player outlasted a field of 843 runners that included Suriner Sunar, WSOP bracelet winner and home favourite David Katai and Dutch legend Marcus Naalden, to claim a first prize of €315,875.
