Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo has truly had a rollercoaster of a poker career. His name was first synonymous with dominating online tournaments, then with a cheating scandal.

Now he has taken down his first live tournament with a victory at the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event in Las Vegas. The final day of the tournament begin with sixteen players including Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, Men “The Master” Nguyen and WSOP bracelet holders Matt Graham and Robert Cheung.

Justin Bonomo and Michael Mizrachi caught cards and wielded huge stacks to eliminate several opponents in succession before the final table was set. Bert Fujisaki got it in way behind with AT against Jack Schanbacher’s AA to finish in tenth place and set the final nine.

ZeeJustin defeated a very tough final table that, between the nine, held over ten WSOP Circuit rings and several WSOP bracelets. Eventually The Grinder and Bonomo got heads-up and played intricate, deep-stacked poker for nearly four hours until Justin had ground him down.

In the final hand, Mizrachi moved in with J9o and Bonomo snap-called with KQ. The K-high flop gave Justin a huge lead and eventually both players made a one-card flush, Bonomo’s Qd beating Mizrachi’s Jd.
Mizrachi won $143,512 for his efforts and Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo picked up $237,692 plus a free WSOP Main Event seat.
