High Stakes Poker WILL Return!

Many couldn’t believe that GSN would drop their two leading poker
shows at all. That’s what they did though, when earlier in the year
they announced they would not be renewing either the World Poker
Tour or High Stakes Poker shows on their network.
Many couldn’t believe that GSN would drop their two leading poker
shows at all. That’s what they did though, when earlier in the year
they announced they would not be renewing either the World Poker
Tour or High Stakes Poker shows on their network. While many
mourned the loss, this week has provided us with light at the end
of the tunnel.
The announcement of WPT joining Fox last week was joyous to fans
around the world. It had been relatively quiet regarding HSP
though, until recently. Someone purporting to be Michael Zeisser,
who serves on the board of directors for GSN, posted a comment on
an online forum to claim the fifth season would be aired in
February 2009. Other claims were also made, including the addition
of Pot Limit Omaha to the schedule, and the possible line up of
players.
The claims seemed too good to be true, so someone at
PartTimePoker.com decided to drop GSN an email to make sure it was
all correct. The response? That the initial posts were indeed
fraudulent, but that GSN HAD picked up the option of the fifth
season of High Stakes Poker after all.
Get the popcorn ready – High Stakes Poker will most certainly be
back.
