An electronic heads-up game for two players is being brought to the market by PokerTek Inc. This game is such an obvious runner that you wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself. The machine, which comes as a table, will be launched in bars and restaurants this summer.
The game, which is also backed by Harrah’s entertainment, owners of the World Series of Poker, will be launched at the WSOP main event on July 5th. WSOP commissioner Jeffrey Pollack will host the unveiling ceremony where Phill Laak and Antonio Esfandiari will face each other across the table in the inaugural challenge.
Marketers and branders have saddled the table with the catchy name, ‘The Heads-Up Challenge™ World Series of Poker® Edition table’.
