Forget trips to outlandish casinos in Miami and Vegas, this spring it’s all about playing your poker in Tallinn, Estonia. Sure, you’ve probably never heard of it and sure it’s a little out of the way, but with upcoming tournaments offering plenty of cash and great socialising opportunities you may want to try and find out which airlines do direct flights.
First off, there’s the William Hill Baltic Open between March 24 and 26, with a prize pool of 240,000€, supplemented by another 25,000€. There are twenty satellites available, each offering a 2,200€ seat and 1,000€ expenses. Two months later there’s the Ladbrokes Tallinn Challenge taking place at the Royal Park Hotel, this time offering $300,000 prize pool based on 150 participants. The winner will also get the chance to go to the Ladbrokes Poker Million Final.
With its rightly earned reputation as one of new Europe’s best party town’s, Tallinn looks set to become the place to be for Europe’s poker elite.
