Over at the APPT Macau, online pro turned live game kind Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, decided to play Day 1B of the APPT Macau dressed up as Batman’s nemesis The Joker.
The Frenchman, who is a former Starcraft gaming legend as well as one of the highest volume players on PokerStars, donned the makeup, green hair and slightly freakish looks in tribute to the latest Batman movie ‘The Dark Knight’. He certainly got a few strange looks throughout the day, but Grospellier has always been one to bring a bit of fun to the table. Rumours of Johnny Chan dressing up as Batman have not been substantiated though. The ploy seemed to work out ok for Elky, who ended the day on 15,100. He won the 2008 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, as well as finishing in the money at this year’s WSOP Main Event.
