In an industry where companies spring up by the day, it’s testament to Party Poker that they’ve made it to their seventh birthday. On Sunday 10th August, they will be throwing a $1,000,000 guaranteed Birthday Party bonanza tournament.

The buy-in to the tournament is $640, but for those who want to try get in for cheaper, you can satellite your way in for as little as $1 or 15 PartyPoints. The event will carry a generous, championship-like, blind structure, giving everyone plenty of play for their dollar.

As well as the main event, there is a whole schedule of events, kicking off on Monday 4th August with a range of events for all buy-in levels. Further details on the schedule are expected in the coming days.

A spokesman for the company outlined why this is going to be an extra-special party: 'There is no doubt this is a party not to miss. It is not often you go to someone else's birthday celebrations with the chance of walking away with a share of $1,000,000. It will definitely feel like a birthday and Christmas all rolled into one for our big winners.'
