Let's face it, poker players aren't renowned for their finely tuned, Amazon like bodies. Players at London's Western Club will get the chance to show their Olympian prowess tonight though as the venue hosts its £5,000 Poker Athletics tournament.

There's a guaranteed prize pool of £5,000 on offer for a buy-in of just £40+£3. The starting gun will be fired at 8.30pm with stacks starting at 40,000 chips with a 30-minute clock. Players have the option to boost the starting stack by 10,000 chips for an extra £7. As usual there's free parking and a free buffet on offer to players.


The last Friday guaranteed event at the Western attracted a bumper field of 225 runners so there should be some great value on offer in London tonight.
