Schon seit einigen Jahren ist im Dreiländereck Slowakei, Österreich und Ungarn ein Casino Projekt gigantomanischen Ausmaßes geplant.
Die oberösterreichische Immobilien Gruppe Asamer will im ungarischen Grenzgebiet ein "Euro Vegas" eröffnen, dass mit zahlreichen Hotels, Geschäften Casinos und anderen Entertainmentangeboten die Kunden locken soll. Die Pläne dafür liegen schon seit 2006 vor, doch bei der Realisierung gab es immer wieder Schwierigkeiten, weil potenzielle Partner absprangen und man sich nicht einig werden konnte. Jetzt hat Asamer angeblich einen neuen, potenten Investor gefunden. Nämlich die Hard Rock Gruppe. Hard Rock dürfte jedem ein Begriff sein. Die sich mittlerweile im Besitz der Seminolen Indianer befindliche Gruppe betreibt weltweit die berühmten Hard Rock Cafes, sowie eine Vielzahl an Hotels und Casinos. Das Know How und das Kapital für so ein riesen Projekt wäre also vorhanden. In der ersten Bauphase sollen rund 700 Millionen Euro in das Projekt investiert werden, was ja doch eine ganze Menge ist. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass derzeit weltweit viele Casinos aufgrund der anhaltenden Rezession über starke Umsatzrückgänge klagen. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage, ob mitten in der ungarischen Pampa solche Ressourcen gebraucht werden und wie wirtschaftlich so ein Monsterprojekt wirklich ist. Interessant wäre zu wissen, welche Auslastung benötigt wird, um gewinnbringend zu arbeiten. Immerhin ist gleich um die Ecke mit dem Magna Racino ein ähnlich ambitioniertes Projekt, dass zugegebener Maßen viel kleiner war, gigantisch gescheitert. Doch die Planer werden solche Dinge natürlich bedacht haben, schließlich wissen wir ja alle, dass Projektmanager keine Fehler machen. Ähh ja...
