While the WSOP didn’t prove the Danish man with a bracelet, Gus Hansen has been winning very nicely online recently. The HighStakesDB.com website monitors some of the highest stakes online games, allowing us to see who’s up and who’s down on some of the biggest games spread. Their findings? Gus is up over $620k in around 4,200 hands.

Of the hands which were monitored, most of the money was made in the Pot Limit Omaha tables, traditionally the biggest games on Full Tilt. While he was stuck on the HORSE table, the damage was undone after he hit a couple of monster pots on the $200/$400 PLO tables, as well as on the $2,000/$4,000 Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better.

The first came when Gus went heads-up to a flop with online prodigy ‘Urindanger’. With the board bringing a 7s-3s-6d board, all of the money found itself in the middle, bringing us a pot of $144k. Hansen had top set (Jh-8h-7h-7d) against the bottom two pair and nut flush draw of Urindanger (As-9s-6c-3c). The turn brought an Ace, meaning Urindanger picked up more outs to the full house, but all of them were missed when a non-spade ten came on the river.

The biggest pot of the session came against Steve Sung, who had a gutshot on the flop and a double-gutter on the turn. While he bet his draw, Hansen’s bottom two pair can’t have felt too good, but when the river paired him to make a full house, the bluff attempt on the river left Sung sending a $191,000 pot to the Dane.

It’s got to be a tough life being Gus.
