Hi Jamie,
With all the millions that you have won, do you feel that there could ever be a danger of playing such high stakes, that if you were sent on tilt, you could lose all your money or do you have so much that it would take a hell of lot of bad beats to even scratch the surface?
Another question; do you see yourself playing poker in say, 30 years from now and would you like to be an elder statesman for poker in the way that Doyle Brunson is now?
Thanks sickboy,

Hi Jamie,
I was just wondering what it felt like to 'bet what's in your hand' on High Stakes Poker in that hand and if you had any regrets or thoughts on that hand. Also I am wondering, is it nice? |

Hey Jamie,
There’s been a run of World Champions who some might say haven’t been as visible an ambassador for the game since your win in 2006. Is this something you necessarily agree with, and if so, how can that be changed? Should the World Champion feel obliged in any way to be the public face of the game? Thanks, Whataflop |

Jamie - as someone who has played in a lot of televised games (including all the way through the 2006WSOPME) and has a background in media, how fair would you say the editing is on poker tournaments/HSP/others?
Do you think it could be improved? Which show do you think is the best (if you can answer without incriminating yourself)? |

Hi Jamie,
First of all, welcome to our forum!! Linked to the previous post, if I understand well from some interviews I read, you weren't too happy about the way the media described you earlier, but had more important things in your life to deal with. What's your plan to put things straight? |

Jamie - I have noticed, watching various games (Poker after Dark etc), that you are often quite defensive when certain pros comment on the way you play poker, or have played so in the past. Winning the 2006 Main Event was obviously an incredible feat - and personally i think you played the latter stages of the tournament very well, with fantastic aggression and power - but i understand that you received a bit of criticism at the time from several pros. How do you think your game has changed since the WSOP win? Have you felt pressured to change your style of play at all?

Great question...I have never bought into a game I could not afford to lose in. Meaning, you can only lose what you put on the table. What people don't realize is that the 400k I lost on high stakes poker was the same 400k I won on High Stakes in the episodes before. There seems to be a very funny way people have of only remembering when you lose, and I actually don't mind the reputation. Yeah, I have no idea what I am doing...ok. :) The facts, if anyone cares, are that I am about even give or take 10-40k on High Stakes, but factor in the little pay you get and all the episodes I have done, I am actually even. Really watch you will see the episodes before how well I did which led me to freeroll in the 500k buy in.
So lesson here is...only put up what you can afford to lose. I have and it has served me very well.
In response to your second question, I don't really picture myself that far in the future, but if I had to, yes, I can't imagine NOT playing the game I love the most!!!
Hope your game is going well...
