The Skill Game Paradox The Skill Game Paradox

By Alex Rousso

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post on my Unibet Ambassador blog entitled “Apokerlypse 2: Black Friday”. I’m thinking you can guess what the subject material was. A reply I received to the post was what prompted me to write this month’s piece.

Triple-range what? Triple-range what?

Dear Dr Tom

I hear people talking about triple range merges and stuff like that, but I don’t even know what a single range merge is. Help, please. Is poker passing me by?

Life Variance Life Variance

You may have heard of “Life Tilt”. This month I want to introduce a new term: “Life Variance”. I love poker terms which cross over into general life. They allow us poker obsessives to assert that our pastime has actually helped us grow as people.

Hung up on HORSE Hung up on HORSE

Dear Dr. Tom,

I have noticed that a lot of pros are playing HORSE or even 8-game. As a NL player, how can I begin to branch out into other poker disciplines?
