What's on at Aspers and the Empire?
Unibet Open Warm Up Events and the Golden Cash Game!
We have lots going on at Aspers in the coming months, and pretty much everything revolves around the build up to the Unibet Open 30th edition.
On 6 - 7 September we will be hosting the first of three Unibet Open warm up events. The next two are on 4 - 5 October and 8 - 9 November. Each event will use the Unibet Open main event structure and starting stack, but with a 30 minute clock. The buy-in for these events is €210 if you qualify online or £165 if you are looking to buy-in on the day or qualify at Aspers.
Each event caries a €25,000 guarantee, which includes 5 seats to the Unibet Open Main event. So not only do you have the chance to boost your bankroll, but you could also win your seat to the big one in November.
The Golden Cash Game
What is this, I hear you ask? Well, it’s an idea that came about in a brainstorming session with the poker team at Unibet. I was very eager to have a streamed cash game as part of the 30th edition, and part of that discussion led to how we could make it a bit more interesting and add a little value to the game. The idea that a certain genius came up with was to add gold bars to specific pots and as various prop bets to generate action and more entertainment for the viewers. The final details are still to be ironed out, but I will give you the full breakdown of how it will all work and how you can get into the game next month.
BetFred Pub Poker Final
We are happy to announce that Aspers will be hosting not one but two Grand Finals for the BetFred Pub Poker League. The BetFred League has been such a huge success they have had to split the final into two parts, one for the North and one for the South. The first final will take place on 1 November at Aspers Stratford, and the second event will take place in our Newcastle Casino on Saturday 8 November. Catch all the games!
Poker runs 24/7 at the Empire Poker Room, so you’ll always find yourself a tournament or cash game. With the kick off to the new football season, you can catch all the Premiership and Champions League games beamed around the card room too.
Buy into a cash game on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays, and collect your rake free hand vouchers.
